Dear Sacha,

Welcome to YNL!

I'm very excited to welcome you to the first installment of our newsletter.

YNL, the YSER Newsletter, is our best way to communicate with each other.  I say to communicate with each other because we are a community.  A community can only grow and prosper if there is communication.  When seen so close together it's easy to see that community and communication share the same roots.  That's no coincidence.

So, from the very first newsletter, I invite you to send me your thoughts.

Community
 Let's talk about Us
It's difficult to communicate without creating distinctions, but distinctions are precisely what we want to avoid.  When I say 'us' I don't mean us here at YSER, or you the readers.  I mean all of us, together, because here at YSER we have only one focus: Community.

There is a huge potential for improvement in how contracting is done online and in communication within the procurement community.  America's own history makes an ideal example.  From a small, lonely group of colonies this country has grown into an entity that no longer needs to be identified by name.  Every country in the world is comprised of states that make the nation, but mention "United States" and there is no question which nation you mean.

That is YSER's goal: a united procurement community.  A single entity that works for the benefit of all.

Remember, your thoughts and insights are valuable.  Don't hesitate to send them to me, and if you prefer to have them remain private or anonymous I will keep them that way.

I want YNL to be a great and unique experience for you.  I want this newsletter to evolve and grow.  Whether a particular newsletter is serious or humorous, I want it to be helpful to you.

For that I need your help.

Sincerely,

Sacha Hartmann
